How to embrace the uniqueness of each season and thrive all year long

When we change up how we live season to season - through our diet, schedule, social demands etc., we give ourselves the chance to align with nature and the natural ebb and flow of life. Sometimes we need to move, sometimes we need to rest. Sometimes we need to take time to be quiet and tend to our internal world or gently surrender that which is no longer working and let ourselves grieve that which has passed. Other times we are hit with a spark of inspiration and are called to action. All are necessary and normal rhythms of life.
When we maintain the same schedule and routines through food, sleep and exercise year-round, we miss out on these subtle shifts and tapping in to what we truly need. It takes awareness yes, but sometimes it’s as simple as paying attention to nature and letting ourselves surrender to, rather than push through the gentle tug of our soul. This isn’t about merely surviving, this is all about thriving!

In addition to the diverse background and journey that brought me to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), I bring with me a deep belief in the body’s ability to heal. This is fundamental to the way I practice TCM. I see all symptoms as relevant and that healing occurs through listening to the body, working with the individual and bringing the systems back to balance.
I believe so deeply in the work I do and feel honoured to have a tool that can aid people in living healthier lives. I know each journey is unique, that we arrive at our current state along individual paths. Therefore I take the time to listen to what is pertinent for each individual – be it mind, body or spirit – and focus the treatment and recovery from there.
